About the Client

The project is delivered for a prestigious financial institution recognized for its modern approach to data architecture and commitment to open-source technologies. You’ll work on building a high-performance Big Data platform in a collaborative team of experienced engineers, developers, and solution architects.

What you will do

• Support the development and automation of an open-source-based Hadoop stack

• Design, build, and maintain Java-based components for Big Data infrastructure

• Analyze and troubleshoot Java-related issues within the platform

• Collaborate with administrators and engineers to enhance the platform’s capabilities

• Contribute to the development of new functionalities and performance improvements

• Participate in the compilation and customization of Hadoop/Spark from source

• Support migration and automation tasks using Python scripting

What we are looking for

• Solid experience as a Java Developer (Java 11–18), ideally in Big Data environments

• Background in working with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, etc.)

• Experience in automation and infrastructure support for open-source stacks

• Familiarity with Linux environments and tools like Maven/Gradle

• Python scripting skills for automation and migration tasks

• Bonus points for experience with CI/CD tools, Ansible, and containerization (Docker/Podman)
