About the Team

You will join Billennium’s rapidly growing Data & AI Practice, responsible for designing and delivering modern data platforms and enterprise analytics solutions for global clients. This role is central to building our internal architectural capability, shaping standards, and driving modernization programs across Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure and hybrid Edge environments. As our Lead Data & Platform Architect, you will serve as the senior technical authority — combining hands-on delivery with strategic leadership, enabling advanced AI, forecasting, and optimization use cases.

What you will do

• Design scalable Lakehouse and modern DWH architectures using Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks

• Lead legacy-to-cloud modernization programs and architect Edge-to-Cloud ingestion pipelines

• Define enterprise governance layers: catalogs, lineage, DQ, RBAC/ABAC, observability, cost-optimization (FinOps)

• Set and lead enterprise data modeling strategies (Kimball, Data Vault 2.0, Medallion, Data Mesh)

• Drive technical pre-sales: client workshops, RFP contributions, solution design, pricing impact and scoping

• Provide architectural leadership across delivery squads while staying hands-on in complex builds and critical problem solving

What we are looking for

• 8+ years in Data Architecture / Platform Engineering with proven experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions

• Deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric (preferred) and working knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Data Platform

• Strong background in Kimball, Data Vault 2.0, semantic modeling, and governing enterprise-wide metrics

• Experience designing governance frameworks (catalog, lineage, data contracts, DQ, observability, FinOps)

• Solid engineering fundamentals: streaming (Kafka/EventHub), IoT ingestion, CI/CD for data, Terraform/Bicep, Docker/K8s

• Ability to influence architecture decisions, lead workshops, challenge stakeholders constructively and shape platform strategy

• Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with confidence in making architectural trade-offs under uncertainty
