About the Client

The project is delivered for a financial institution recognized for its modern approach to data architecture and commitment to open-source technologies. You’ll work on building a high-performance Big Data platform in a collaborative team of experienced engineers, developers, and solution architects.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain components of a Big Data platform using open-source tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Ranger, etc.)

• Develop and enhance Java-based modules, including compiling and extending Hadoop/Spark from source

• Write Python scripts for migration and automation tasks

• Cooperate closely with DevOps, data engineers, and solution architects

• Document processes, support testing of new components, and participate in migration activities

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data projects, including deep knowledge of Java and Python 3.x

• Proven skills in developing Apache Spark tasks and their orchestration via Apache Airflow

• Strong experience working in Linux environments with tools like Maven/Gradle and pip/virtualenv

• Familiarity with core technologies: Apache Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Ranger, Airflow

• Bonus points for experience with CI/CD tools, Ansible, and containerization (Docker/Podman)
