BigTime Software is seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS cloud computing , Terraform, Kubernetes , Helm, and a strong understanding of DevOps principles with GitLab. Knowledge of Python is a plus. This role will play a crucial part in our efforts to streamline and automate our development and deployment processes.
We are looking for a self-reliant DevOps engineer with the ability to work independently and experience in managing infrastructure and automating processes.

📝 Role Responsibilities:

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform/Terragrunt to ensure efficient provisioning and management of AWS resources.

AWS Management: Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services, including EC2 instances, managed databases (RDS, Elasticache, DocumentDB), S3 buckets, and more.

Kubernetes: Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS to orchestrate containerized applications. Maintain Helm charts and manage application deployments using Helmfile.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD ⚙️ to automate application deployment, testing, and monitoring.

Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools 🛠️ to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Monitoring and Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus stack 📈) to ensure system health and performance.

Security: Collaborate with external auditors to implement and maintain security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management according to SOC2 certification.

Collaboration: Work closely with development and QA teams 🤝 to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation 📚 for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
💼 Who You Are:

Bachelor's degree 🎓 in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
- Proficiency in Git and GitLab for version control.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
- Scripting skills, particularly in Python (Nice to have).
- Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 🧠.
- Strong communication in English and Polish 🗣️.
- Collaboration skills 🤝.

AWS certification(s) is a plus.

- Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda) .
