Azure API Management Specialist

Job Title: Azure API Management Specialist (Up to 6-Month Contract)  

Location: Remote/Poland  

Project: Setting Up Azure API Management for RW (Integration Services Team)

Role Overview  

We are looking for an experienced Azure API Management (APIM) Specialist to join our team and work on-site with RW’s Integration Services Team. The specialist will establish and optimize Azure API Management processes from the ground up, setting the stage for API-driven integrations and ensuring compliance with industry best practices. This is a contract role for up to 6 months.  

Key Responsibilities  

- Develop and integrate APIs, data, and events using Azure API Management tools and architectures.  

- Interface with APIs and leverage IPaaS services to enhance data and application integrations.  

- Create comprehensive API guidelines and standards, ensuring scalability and maintainability.  

- Establish and manage Azure API Management processes and policies for:  

 - Security: Ensure secure access and data handling.  

 - Performance Optimization: Enhance system responsiveness and scalability.  

 - Monitoring API Usage: Track performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.  

- Design end-to-end APIM strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.  

Requirements  

- 5+ years of experience in API development and management, with expertise in Azure API Management.  

- Strong understanding of data integration and API architectures.  

- Proven experience in creating API standards and best practices documentation.  

- Proficiency in implementing security protocols for APIs.  

- Ability to optimize and monitor API performance using Azure tools.  

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.  

- Nice to Have:  

 - Familiarity with IPaaS services and other Azure integration tools.  

 - Experience with similar API management tools.
