Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions primarily based on Microsoft technologies. You will work closely with infrastructure and application teams to strengthen the organization's security posture and support security operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage Microsoft security solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents.

• Develop and improve security monitoring use cases, detection rules, and automated response workflows.

• Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis.

• Support identity and access management initiatives.

• Implement and maintain security controls aligned with industry best practices and compliance requirements.

• Participate in incident response activities and forensic investigations.

• Create and maintain security documentation, procedures, and technical standards.

Required skills and experience:

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security operations.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies, including:

  • Microsoft Sentinel

  • Microsoft Defender XDR

  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud

  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Microsoft Purview

• Good understanding of security concepts such as:

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)

  • Zero Trust Architecture

  • Endpoint Security

  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response

  • Vulnerability Management

  • Cloud Security

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure environments.

• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls.

• Ability to analyze security events and perform root cause investigations.

• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python) would be an advantage.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional english speaking teams.

Nice to have:

• Microsoft security certifications such as:

  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)

  • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)

• Experience with SIEM, Vulnarability Management tools.
