Our client, a leading global banking institution, is seeking a skilled Financial Engineering Business Analyst to support their Global Risk Analytics team in delivering strategic solutions for their Financial Engineering infrastructure.
Position Overview
The Financial Engineering Business Analyst will play a crucial role in improving model development and implementation processes, gathering business requirements, analysing data, and defning solution designs to support regulatory and business requests within the Global
Risk Analytics function.
Responsibilities:
• Develop understanding of current and target Financial Engineering Infrastructure
• Communicate across teams impacted by Financial Engineering changes
• Support modelling teams and developers in delivering strategic pipeline
• Produce artefacts such as data requirements and data models
• Assist modellers in creating required datasets for analysis
• Defne business/functional architecture for model execution and monitoring
• Prepare test plans and execute functional testing activities
• Assess production incidents related to Financial Engineering infrastructure
• Guide modelling teams in adopting coding excellence standards
Requirements:
• Degree in a quantitative subject (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering)
• Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in banking
• Knowledge of Credit risk modelling (capital calculation, loss distributions, ratings)
• Strong data analytics background (data modelling, sourcing, transformations, controls)
• Experience analysing large datasets using SAS and Python
• Proven Business Analysis skills for Agile delivery (epics, user stories, specifcations)
• Profciency in JIRA and Microsoft Offce (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with global teams across different geographies and cultures
• Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• CBAP, FRM, or PRM certifcation is advantageous
