In the IT Operations department of Beiersdorf we are responsible for delivering IT infrastructure services on a global scale to the entire Beiersdorf Group, which comprises more than 20,000 employees worldwide. You will be part of the Software Asset Management Team operating on a global level to provide full transparency on software assets of the Beiersdorf group. As part of our team your are playing a crucial rule in ensuring efficient and compliant license usage, while minimizing legal and financial risks.
We are seeking a skilled SAM (Software Asset Management) Developer and Administrator to join our team. The SAM Developer and Administrator will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software asset management solutions supporting the Beiersdorf IT Global Software Asset Management Team on a daily basis.
Your tasks:
Development: Develop and maintain SAM applications, scripts, and workflows.
Implementation: Implement and configure SAM modules within ServiceNow.
Administration: Manage user access, configure system settings, and ensure data integrity.
Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to track software usage and compliance. Automate SAM reporting.
Integration: Integrate SAM with other ServiceNow modules and external systems.
SAM Team enablement : Assist the SAM Team with reconciliation, normalization and report generation. Collecting and retaining software asset data for risk and cost assessments and to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and industry regulations
Technical Expert : Provide technical guidance on achieving goals via recommended features, functionality, and design. identify areas for optimization, implementing process enhancements, and staying updated with industry best practices.
SAM System Services : SAM Master Data health checks, manage reclamation rules, run reconciliation, create custom products and pattern normalization rules, set up Content Service, and other administrative features
Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and design solutions.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support for SAM-related problems.
Platform Integration : Align requirements with Service Now Platform Team. Assist with application and platform upgrades.
Your Profile;
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field of study, an apprenticeship in an IT profession, or relevant work experience;
Fluency in English (both verbal and written). German is a plus;
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) are highly desirable;
3+ years of experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro or related IT Asset Management (ITAM) modules;
Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform, scripting languages (JavaScript), and databases;
Understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements. Experience in entitlement management and reclamation and showing value from SAM;
Solid experiences with SQL and relational Database technologies;
excellent attention to detail, high-level problem-solving ability, and an analytical approach to implementing solutions;
