Software Developer (PIMS)

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project.

Theis position is located at our Warsaw office. Initially the role is full time office based, following 3 month probation we offer hybrid working pattern - 3 days in office & 2 flexible.

Job Summary

The Software Developer - Project Information Management Systems (PIMS) is responsible for all software development activities within the Information Management System (IMS).

An essential part of this effort is to collaborate and build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders in delivering solutions that meet their business objectives. The successful applicant will work within the Project Information Management (PIM) team to facilitate the integration of systems and data environments between internal and external systems. You will undertake necessary development efforts to ensure the project’s information management system and Common Data Environment (CDE) is delivering on the project execution goals. 

Education & Experience

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and at least 5 years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Must be able to pass nuclear security screening requirements and be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power facility.

Skills

Proven experience with gathering business requirements and developing plans to achieve those objectives.

Hands on database experience –MS SQL server, Graph/neo4j, Oracle

Data integration experience between internal and external systems/applications

At least one modern front-end web framework eg. REACT, Angular

JavaScript, Perl, Python

C# ASP.NET MVC, WEB API

Experience with Microsoft PowerBi, Power Query and Power Apps

Must possess a strong communication and interpersonal skills to gather knowledge, build trust relationships, explain analysis processes and technologies to internal and external leaders, colleagues and partners.

Strong technical development background and self-motivated approach to acquiring new knowledge and expertise.   

Ability to work well under own initiative and as part of a team.
