Software Engineer (BI)

This position is based at our friendly office in Poland and you will join our Axiom Platform team placed in Credit Risk domain. The team is in charge of strategic reporting platform - AxiomSL, providing regulatory reporting functionalities.

If you decide to join us, you will become a part of an agile team placed in Warsaw office. Your direct manager will be Anna Maria Kozakowska.

About the team:

We are a group of open-minded people with knowledge around BI, servers, databases, platform management, with different seniority levels. As a team, we focus on direct communication, knowledge sharing and teamwork while keeping positive and relaxed atmosphere. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month.

We are owners of AxiomSL platform, so if you would like to work with development of the BI reporting platform, databases and SQL, our team is the right place for you. Additionally, we offer you a possibility to develop your skills in Python programming, servers’ administration, maturation of our reporting platform (scalability, monitoring, automation).

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Maintain our reporting platform AxiomSL including incident management and testing
• Collaborate with platform provider
• Support user teams in collaboration with business analyst, team architect and Product owner- onboarding, collection of business requirements, problem solving
• Mature current solution and assure creation of the technical documentation
• Create and optimize SQL queries and reports
• Travel to Denmark- less than 5% on yearly basis can be expected.

To succeed you will have: 

• Analytical thinking
• Understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, data modeling
• Experience with BI analytics
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with BI platforms
• Understanding of agile methodologies
• Experience with collaboration with external service provider
• Work experience from Finance, Banking, Accounting or IT
• Understanding of stakeholder management
• Fluent English

It’s nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of PowerBI, Grafana
• Experience with platform maintenance and administration
• BA/MA in Finance, Banking, Accounting or IT
