Job description

Online interview

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our Omnichannel department. The OpenUI Platform team participates in the development of online and mobile banking solutions across all business areas in BEC such as investment, pension, housing and daily finances. The UX Design unit in OpenUI Platform team is part of the Omnichannel domain focusing on new business initiatives e.g. Digital Bank 2.0 with eight agile teams that develop online and mobile banking solutions for the banks (both for bank clients & advisors).

The UX designer role helps to convey the needs of the financial institutions for concrete solutions across channels. You must be the key person in the field between business and end user and solve the UX tasks in close cooperation with development teams, BEC customers aka banks, end users and UX Designer colleagues. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Sebastian Gos.


Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • You work daily with both native and responsive web development from the first concepts to development and final testing of the solution 

  • You listen, argue, create wireframes and prototypes, present, test and document solutions 

  • You ensure our client-facing solutions meets accessibility (WCAG AA) requirements and design guidelines 

  • You organize and carry out user tests, collect insights and feedback and prepare recommendations 

  • You contribute to the continuous development & maintenance of our BEC Design System 

  • Actively participates in design reviews - both alone and together with other UX’ers 

  • You can expect to travel to Denmark up to 4 times/year.


To succeed you will have: 

  • You have 5+ years of experience with Figma 

  • You have experience creating & leading UX processes

  • You have experience designing cross-platform solutions (web, iOS, Android) 

  • You have experience working with the UX Design of larger, heavy systems – e.g., case processing systems, complex self-service solutions  

  • You have experience working with accessibility (WCAG AA) 

  • You have experience creating & maintaining Design Systems 

  • You have experience working with Google Material Design (v2 or v3) 


It’s nice-to-have:

  • Experience in FinTech sector

  • Working with white label solutions skills

  • You have an analytical mindset and profile - driven by understanding complex requirements and translating them into simple design solutions

  • You are well-organized, independent and have the courage to run your own projects

  • You thrive in a team where collaboration, sparring and continuous feedback are paramount

  • You are familiar with Danish
