SAS software engineer

We are looking for a SAS software engineer ready to share and grow

Working out of BEC’s office in Warsaw city center we are looking for an experienced SAS Developer for AML(Anti Money-Laundering). We aim to fight financial crime in collaboration with a wide range of Danish banks.

The AML program is built around 6 teams focused on delivering features to our customers in the field of AML and offering technical solutions and platform support.

We are looking for an experienced SAS engineer to join our Customer Screening team where we are implementing and scaling a new SAS AML Screening Solution for our Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) platform. Besides working with your immediate team members, you will also work closely with other BEC teams, SAS representatives, and our customers. We have a mature SAS community of practice in our area where we meet like-minded SAS Developers and share knowledge and discuss various topics.

The Customer Screening team consists of 10 people split between Roskilde/Denmark and Warsaw. The team is characterized by tech-savvy colleagues dedicated to delivering value to our customers. The atmosphere is informal, and we prioritize social activities, having fun and getting to know one another.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Anders Dall.

Primary task and responsibilities  

In the position of SAS engineer, you will work closely with customers, colleagues from other BEC teams, and external vendors. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:  

• Deliver full SAS AML feature backend and front-end
• Development and maintenance of the Visual Investigator application
• Prepare and analyze scenarios and problem-solve to find the best solution for our customers
• Secure delivery and compliance standards are followed
• Optimize scenarios and algorithms to improve the performance and output of our applications
• Implement good practices and share knowledge in our community of practice
• Provide 2nd level support on customer requests

To succeed you will have: 

• At least 3+ years of experience working with SAS 4GL
• GIT repositories experience
• Oracle database knowledge and experience
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field
• Good English skills verbal and written
• Curious and seeking to develop your profile through collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Motivated by problem-solving
• Thriving in a role as team player, delivering as a team

It's nice-to-have:

• Experience with SAS Data Integrations, Compliance Solution, and Visual Investigator
• PostgreSQL experience
• Preferably knowledge of the SAS AML suite
• Preferable experience with Agile
• HTML and JavaScript experience
