Enterprise Architect for IT Strategy & Transformation

To further enhance our experienced team of Enterprise Architects, we are seeking an Enterprise Architect with a primary focus on IT strategy, technology strategy, and transformation at BEC.

The Enterprise Architecture team develops a clear view on target and transition architectures for clustered capabilities, provides architectural guidelines, defines and enables a clear decommissioning roadmap, orchestrates the gathering of technology risk assessments of the current portfolio and technology assets, and measures progress on architectural transformation through tangible metrics.

The position is based in our Warsaw (Poland) office where you will join our Enterprise Architecture team which is an area in BEC's Architecture division.

At BEC, we work in a hybrid remote model, coming into the office at least 3 days a week and the option of working remotely for 2 days. Your direct manager will be the head of Enterprise Architecture, Frank Kruse.

Primary task and responsibilities include

As an Enterprise Architect, you will work closely with colleagues across BEC, primarily with enterprise, domain, and team architects, but also with stakeholders from teams in our Demand and Delivery organizations.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Defining IT and technology strategy directions aligned to BEC strategy and business goals.
• Developing option-based business cases for compelling change scenarios.
• Developing and maintaining multi-year strategic target architectures, supporting company investment plans, transformation roadmaps, and a modern technology landscape.
• Supporting the implementation of best practices in areas of IT governance, technology management, and strategic alignment.
• Crafting compelling narratives and presentations to communicate architectural visions, strategies, and roadmaps to diverse stakeholders.
• Facilitating workshops and storytelling sessions to ensure alignment and buy-in from various teams and leadership.
• Contributing to different communities and governance bodies in BEC as applicable and supporting a range of strategic initiatives in BEC.

To succeed you will have

• A master’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field of study.
• At least 2-5 years of documented experience in a relevant enterprise architecture or IT strategy consultant role, preferably within a financial services enterprise.
• Created new business and/or IT strategy for a large organisation, been involved in the sales cycle for the strategy and the tracking of its implementation.
• Experience of building complex option-based business cases.
• Knowledge of modern technology stacks.
• Excellent skills as a team player and an effective communicator with strong presentation and storytelling abilities.
• Acquired basic consulting skills, ideally from a strategy consulting house (highly desirable).
• Fluency in English, both in writing and spoken.
