Business analyst - Investments & Markets

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw in PL and you will join our Investment & Markets domain. The domain delivers and maintains the systems and processes that power trading, investment, and post-trade operations—enabling banks to offer seamless investment services while ensuring compliance and driving digital transformation. It is one of the top strategic focus areas in BEC. We offer you the opportunity to work in a team responsible for Investment area in Online Banking.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Paweł Olszański.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Clarifying and aligning the expectations and needs of our customers in cooperation with your team Product Owner and UX Team

• Prioritizing and breaking down features into user stories and defining acceptance criteria with the Product Owner

• Analyze business problems and opportunities, and define clear, actionable solutions.

• Ensure that solutions meet business needs and regulatory requirements.

• Working closely with the developers and technicians on building, implementing and testing the right solutions for the Investment area

• Collaborate closely with developers to clarify and refine requirements.

• Translate sector regulations and compliance requirements into development tasks.

• Support daily operations, incidents, maintenance, and housekeeping activities.

• Facilitating meetings, presentations and workshops

• Creating and maintaining documentation and user handbooks

To succeed you will have: 

• Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex problems and identify actionable solutions.

• Business Acumen: Deep understanding of customer needs, banking operations, and regulatory requirements.

• Process Understanding: Familiarity with both functional and non-functional requirements, and how they translate into system behavior.

• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with stakeholders, developers, and end-users—both written and verbal.

• UX Collaboration: Strong understanding of user experience principles and effective cooperation with UX teams, ensuring that business requirements align with frontend application design and usability.

• Documentation & Specification: Skilled in writing business procedures, user guides, and requirement specifications.

• Personal Attributes: Curiosity & Proactivity, ability to work together with cross functional teams, customer orientation and adaptability i.e., Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a dynamic environment
