Lead Solutions Architect - WAF / CDN / Akamai

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the design and deployment of Akamai WAF, CDN, and Bot Protection within a new Azure landing zone architecture.
• Assess and optimize existing Akamai configurations, including downstream proxy server rules for on-premises systems.
• Develop and execute a WAF/CDN migration plan, ensuring alignment with the overall cloud transformation strategy.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate and deploy new security components and CDN solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of WAF and CDN solutions with Azure Application Gateways and other cloud-native services.
• Support post-migration operations, ensuring smooth handover to operational teams.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise during the migration and post-migration phases.

Our requirements:

• Proven experience as a Lead Architect or Solution Architect working with Akamai, WAF, and CDN technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Akamai WAF, Bot Protection, and CDN solutions.
• Experience with Azure Application Gateway, Cloudflare, and/or Azure Front Door is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of cloud environments, especially Azure and its security and network services.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of leading complex migration projects in a cloud transformation context.
