Senior Software Engineer - Tulip Platform Developer
Senior Software Engineer (Tulip Platform Developer) is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying applications within the low-code no-code Tulip manufacturing execution system (MES). This role supports digital transformation initiatives by creating user-friendly, data-driven applications that enhance manufacturing efficiency, automation, and real-time analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement applications on the Tulip platform to optimize manufacturing workflows.
Develop custom logic, workflows, dashboards, and reports for real-time monitoring and analytics.
Collaborate with Product managers, operations, engineering, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
Troubleshoot, maintain, support, and enhance existing Tulip applications.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company standards.
Support user adoption and provide training where necessary.
Use the agreed implementation approaches to design, code, test, and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the right standards and tools.
Support of other team members to ensure the selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technology
Building integrations between Tulip Platform and other systems based on available components and connection methods.
Co-ordinate building activities across systems and other squads.
Design solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered with mitigation of security threats as a core feature.
Approach prototyping as a team activity, actively soliciting prototypes, and testing with others.
Offer recommendations on the best features available on Tulip Platform and methods to use them.
Manage service components to ensure they meet business needs and reach performance targets.
Qualifications & competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience in building solutions on low-code, no-code platforms (preferably Tulip)
Advanced knowledge of:
SQL
APIs
JSON
JavaScript
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
Experience in software design and architecture
Knowledge of software development tools and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design
Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Very good communication skills
Nice to have:
Experience with containerization and orchestrations tools (Docker)
Expertise in areas such as machine learning, AI, cybersecurity, or mobile development
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools
Proven ability to lead and mentor junior developers.
Strong understanding of software security principles and best practices
Certifications such as Tulip Essentials – App Building
Experience with MongoDB, Kubernetes, or integration with ERP/MES/IoT systems
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
