Associate Product Designer

The Role

As an Associate Product Designer, your primary mission will be to craft beautiful, intuitive user interfaces. You will be the champion of visual excellence, ensuring that our digital experiences are not only functional but also engaging and aesthetically pleasing. You will work within our product development lifecycle, translating user needs and business requirements into tangible, high-fidelity designs. While you will gain exposure to the full product design process, your core focus will be on visual execution and UI craftsmanship.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities: 

·       High-Fidelity UI Design: Create stunning, production-ready mockups and user interfaces for our web and mobile applications using Figma.

·       Visual Prototyping: Build interactive and animated prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts, demonstrate user flows, and showcase micro-interactions.

·       Design System Contribution: Design, document, and maintain UI components (buttons, forms, modals, etc.) within our design system, ensuring visual consistency and scalability across the platform.

·       Visual Identity & Polish: Uphold and evolve our product's visual identity. You will be responsible for the final polish, paying meticulous attention to typography, colour theory, iconography, spacing, and layout.

·       Collaboration & Handoff: Work closely with engineers to ensure the high-quality implementation of your designs. Prepare clear design specifications and assets for a smooth developer handoff.

·       Iterative Design: Participate in design critiques, gather feedback from senior designers and stakeholders, and iterate on your work to achieve the best possible outcomes.

·       UX Collaboration: Assist in translating wireframes and user flows into compelling visual designs, ensuring usability is at the heart of the interface.

What We're Looking For

• An Exceptional UI Portfolio: This is the most critical requirement. Your portfolio must demonstrate a strong foundation in visual design principles, a keen eye for detail, and a flair for creating modern, elegant user interfaces. We want to see your process and your final work. A link to your portfolio is required.

• Proven UI Design Skills: Demonstrated expertise in high-fidelity mockups, UI component design, and interactive prototyping.

• Mastery of Design Tools: High proficiency in Figma is essential.

• No Commercial Experience Necessary: We welcome applications from recent graduates, self-taught designers, and career-changers. Your portfolio will be the primary measure of your capability.

• A Passion for Visuals: A genuine obsession with typography, colour, layout, and iconography. You notice the small details that elevate a good design to a great one.

• Collaborative Spirit: You are eager to learn, receptive to constructive feedback, and can clearly articulate your design decisions.

• Bonus Points: An interest in user experience (UX) research, motion design, or illustration.
