About our Team:

Group AI Services is a central team driving the adoption of AI across Helvetia Baloise. We help teams turn ideas around AI, GenAI and Agentic AI into real, scalable solutions that create value in everyday business.

We work closely with different business and technology teams across the organization. Depending on their needs, we either support end-to-end delivery of key AI initiatives, co-create solutions together, or provide reusable tools, guidance and best practices to enable teams to move faster on their own.

Our focus is not just on building AI, but on making sure it works in practice - integrated into business processes, IT systems and day-to-day operations.

In this role, you will be part of shaping AI use cases in key domains such as Claims, helping translate ideas into concrete solutions that truly impact how the business operates.

Role Purpose:

At Helvetia Baloise, we are scaling the use of AI, GenAI and Agentic AI across the Group - moving beyond pilots to solutions that are secure, scalable and truly used in everyday business.

As an AI Product Owner, we expect you to shape and drive AI use cases in Claims together with us. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand processes, identify valuable opportunities and turn them into clear requirements, priorities and success measures.

Together, we make sure that AI solutions are not just ideas or prototypes, but real capabilities - embedded in workflows, aligned with governance and delivering tangible value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape AI use cases from idea to clear scope, requirements, priorities and success criteria
  • Translate business needs into structured backlog items, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate closely with business, tech and governance stakeholders to drive delivery
  • Ensure AI solutions are practical, scalable and embedded in real processes and workflows
  • Analyze claims processes and identify where AI can create measurable value
  • Support testing, user feedback and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to reusable methods and best practices for AI delivery across the Group

Your Skills:

  • Experience in delivering AI, GenAI, automation or data-driven solutions in business environments

  • Strong understanding of how AI can be applied in practice, including value, feasibility and risks

  • Ability to analyze business processes, user workflows and operational needs

  • Proven skill in turning complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories and priorities

  • Solid product ownership experience (prioritization, backlog management, stakeholder alignment)

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, IT and governance

  • Good understanding of enterprise systems, data flows and integrations

  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders

Ideally, you also have:
 
  • Experience with AI, GenAI or automation in insurance, financial services or another regulated environment
  • Understanding of the insurance value chain, especially claims or operations
  • Familiarity with common AI solution patterns (e.g. LLM-based assistants, document processing, workflow automation, agentic flows)
  • Awareness of responsible AI, governance and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in international or matrix organizations
