System Engineer (User Identity Management) with German

As a System Engineer you'll be jointly responsible for the operation, quality assurance, and implementation in the area of User Identity Management and you'll be in charge of ensuring smooth provisioning processes to various target systems. This role is a part of the Infrastructure Services & Compute Platforms division within the Baloise IT Services organization.
Your tasks will include:
Incident & Problem Management: Handle technical incidents (e.g., application outages, missing permissions) and support problem resolution.
Platform Operations: Monitor platform stability, connectors, and database queues; troubleshoot provisioning and performance issues; coordinate with specialists; manage HR interface and initial user permissions; maintain connector expertise (DIM → AD, RACF, Tabys, etc.).
Data Quality & Compliance: Verify responsibilities and objects, ensure compliance (e.g., DORA), maintain standards, and correct data deviations, including for non-bidirectional connectors.
Employee Support: Process daily DIM requests for ~12,000 employees (approvals, delegations, authorization evaluations, transparency, analyses); provide expertise in One Identity and related access systems.
UIM/DIM Role Management: Assist with role and authorization concepts, support ordering of roles, and identify permissions.
Your ideal background and skillset:
Several years of professional experience as a system/security administrator
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and EntraID
Experience working with diverse cultural and stakeholder groups
Experience with SQL reporting and scripting languages such as PowerShell
RACF (IBM Mainframe) experience is an advantage
Very good English and German skills (both are required)
