What you can expect
As the Service Owner for PostgreSQL, you'll play a central role in managing and further developing a business-critical IT service. You'll work closely with our service provider and internal specialist teams to ensure availability, stability, and quality of the service while driving continuous improvements. You'll actively shape processes, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements independently and you can expect a professional work environment with flat hierarchies, open communication, and opportunities to contribute your own ideas and help shape the further development of the service portfolio.
Your qualifications:
Several years of experience in security and compliance, handling personal data and regulatory requirements
Proven experience working with external providers and sourcing partners
Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and understandably to different audiences
Strong conceptual skills and process-oriented thinking for sustainable IT service development
Solid technical understanding of modern platform technologies such as Kubernetes or OpenShift is an advantage
Very good English skills; German is a huge plus
Your tasks:
Responsibility for the entire lifecycle of the PostgreSQL service and alignment of strategic goals with IT and corporate strategy
Coordination and prioritization of requirements from specialist teams in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Monitoring service quality, ensuring SLA compliance, and implementing continuous improvements
Ensuring compliance with all relevant security and regulatory requirements in cooperation with the security team
Operational and tactical management of the external provider, including involvement in contract design and defining KPIs
Acting as the central point of contact for specialist teams and stakeholders, representing the service in projects and committees
Ensuring complete service documentation and responsibility for adherence to technical and organizational standards
