Data Engineer (Azure)

Your responsibilities

As a Data Engineer with expertise in Azure and Azure Fabric at Baloise Solution Hub, you will be a key member of our data platform team in Switzerland. Your primary role will be to design, implement, and manage robust data solutions using Azure technologies.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure services.
• Ensuring data security and compliance with industry regulations by implementing data governance and protection strategies.
• Collaborating with development teams to provide self-service data solutions, enhancing DevOps practices with pre-configured data setups and templates.
• Integrating and managing Azure Fabric services to ensure seamless data flow and processing.
• Utilizing Microsoft Synapse for advanced data analytics and integration.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting data solutions to ensure high availability and performance.

Your ideal background and skillset

• Proven experience with Azure Cloud services in a regulated enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in data engineering tools and frameworks such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake.
• Expertise in Azure governance and configuration, including identity and access management, visibility, and networking.
• Knowledge of Azure Service Fabric services and their implementation.
• Machine Learning engineering experience is an additional bonus.
