Engineering Manager - Coiote DM
About the role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead two engineering teams within the Coiote IoT Device Management platform. One team focuses on solving customer issues and improving stability. The other works on long-term improvements of the platform, including reducing technical debt, improving reliability, performance, and introducing core changes to the system.
As an Engineering Manager, you will take care of the people, delivery, and processes. You will work closely with the Product Owner and Technical Leaders to align priorities and ensure the teams contribute effectively to the development of the platform.
What you will do:
Build, mentor, and grow engineering teams (career development, performance, feedback).
Ensure delivery of customer-focused improvements and core system changes.
Monitor and actively manage technical debt with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
Conduct regular 1:1s, set expectations, and provide feedback.
Collaborate with the Product Owner and Technical Leaders to plan and execute product and engineering goals.
Improve and adapt engineering processes to the teams’ needs.
Actively recruit and onboard new engineers.
Represent the engineering perspective inside and outside the company when needed.
What we expect:
Experience in managing software engineering teams (5+ years preferred).
Strong technical background (backend, devops, or related areas).
Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Ability to set priorities and balance short-term needs with long-term improvements.
Strong communication skills, including Polish (min.C1) and English (min. B2).
Leadership style based on trust, openness, and responsibility.
