Job description

Embedded Software Engineer @AVSystem


At AVSystem, we create advanced solutions for the telecommunications industry, enabling the automatic management of millions of devices worldwide. Our Embedded team is looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in embedded software to help us develop products like Anjay and Anjay Lite and their integrations for different IoT devices. You may work with top-tier smart meters manufacturers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop embedded software in C.

  • Integrate and develop firmware using low level network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, (D)TLS, CoAP, LwM2M).

  • Design and optimize low-level solutions to ensure reliability and performance.

  • Participate in designing embedded system architectures and implementing new features.

  • Create technical documentation and take part in code reviews.


Qualifications:

  • A university degree in a technical field (preferred:Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications).

  • Proficiency in C (must-have).

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in embedded systems programming.

  • Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and experience with RTOS (e.g. Zephyr).

  • Ability to analyze and solve hardware-software problems.

  • Experience with debugging and low-level system analysis tools.

  • Familiarity with networking and communication protocols (nice to have).

  • Fluent English (minimum B2 level).


Nice to haves:

  • Experience in the IoT industry.

  • Knowledge of embedded system security.

  • Experience in open-source projects.
