Senior Frontend Developer (m/f/d) – E-commerce Platform

ALLES.AUTO is the new digital platform focused on all aspects of car buying and ownership.

We are the digital car dealership of the future, offering a unique software-as-a-service solution developed by the trade for the trade. As a brand-independent e-commerce marketplace, we showcase all offerings of traditional car dealerships online: new and used vehicles, workshop services, accessories, as well as all relevant services related to payment, leasing, financing, and consulting.

ALLES.AUTO was launched under the leadership of AVAG Holding SE (one of the largest automotive dealership groups in Europe) and was converted into a joint-stock company in the fall of 2022.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement and style components with Tailwind CSS to ensure a consistent and attractive UI/UX.
• Build and optimize front-end components with React.js, Next.js, and Web Components.
• Manage state effectively using Redux for scalable and maintainable applications.
• Integrate with GraphQL APIs using Apollo Client for efficient data fetching and caching.
• Collaborate with the backend team to ensure smooth integration of APIs and frontend components.
• Utilize Turborepo for managing and streamlining the monorepo structure, ensuring efficient development workflows.
• Contribute to the development of our ecommerce platform, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Work in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and team collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST):

• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of modern web development practices.
• Strong experience with React.js, Next.js, and Redux for building dynamic, single-page applications.
• Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS for rapid UI development.
• Proficient in using Apollo Client for managing GraphQL queries and mutations.
• Familiarity with Turborepo for efficient monorepo management.
• Experience with Web Components and their integration within modern web applications.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce principles and experience building ecommerce platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when needed.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

QUALIFICATIONS (nice to have):

• Experience with server-side rendering and static site generation in Next.js.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for ecommerce websites.
• Experience with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
