DevOps Engineer

You are an experienced DevOps Engineer and want to tackle various interesting challenges by bringing your skills to a scrum team of motivated developers?

The main focus for this position is to ensure Avafin's products and teams have the least downtime possible. To accomplish this, the team you will work in is responsible forbuilding and maintaining CI/CD workflows, packaging and deploying applications, and supporting development teams in adopting modern deploymentpractices. As technologies, we use GitHub/GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.

Our IT Department, which is based in Wiener Neustadt, is part of an international Fintech company that provides short and long-term consumer loans in 5 countries within and outside of Europe. With our platform and websites, we provide an entirely digital lending process so we can guarantee a cash flow to the consumer within only a couple of minutes.

Our full-time working week is only 34 hours, working times are flexible, and 100% home office is an option. Over-qualification will be compensated. Check out our benefits!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help development teams migrate from Bitbucket/Bamboo to GitHub/GitHub Actions

• Package and deploy applications using Docker, Helm charts and Kubernetes

• Document deployment workflows and create runbooks for development teams

• Debug and solve deployment and pipeline problems across the stack

• Work closely with development teams to improve the development lifecycle and further their independence

WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• At least 3 years' experience working in a DevOps position

• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions

• Experience with Docker and container workflows

• Experience with Kubernetes deployments using Helm and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or similar)

• Fluency in English (communication with an international team)

• Nice to have: experience with PostgreSQL, coding experience with PHP or Node.js
