About the project:

The Solution Architect will lead the development of robust, cloud-based data architectures within the life sciences sector, specifically supporting research and clinical operations. The role involves building scalable data pipelines and implementing modern data solutions to enable advanced analytics in a highly regulated environment. Close collaboration with engineering, data science, and product teams is essential for success.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, end-to-end data solutions supporting research, clinical, and operational initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Product Managers, and DevOps Engineers to define data needs and tailor solutions
• Build, optimize, and manage automated data pipelines using Python, Airflow, and dbt
• Leverage AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Redshift) to develop secure and cost-effective data infrastructure
• Integrate and manage Snowflake as the central data platform for analytics and reporting
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment workflows and reduce development cycles
• Implement robust workflow automation using orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Ensure regulatory compliance, data security, governance, and quality standards are met
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams on architecture and cloud best practices
• Monitor emerging technologies and propose adoption strategies to drive innovation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud solution design
• Proven hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, Redshift)
• Solid experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehousing platforms
• Proficiency in data pipeline development using Python, Airflow, and dbt
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python; knowledge of Java or Scala is a plus
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance, particularly in regulated environments
• Preferred experience in the Cell and Gene Therapy space or broader life sciences sector
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
