(F/M) SAP S/4HANA Finance Expert

About the Project

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Expert to join a global Finance IT team responsible for delivering and supporting business-critical Finance solutions within a complex SAP landscape.

In this role, you will support Manufacturing Finance and Supply Chain Accounting processes, with a strong focus on Material Ledger, Product Costing, Inventory Valuation, Consolidation, and cross-functional integrations. You will act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, ensuring system stability, financial accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

This position combines operational support, project delivery, and business partnership responsibilities in an international environment.

Your Responsibilities

System Integrity & Financial Accuracy

• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data across SAP modules and integrated systems

• Support monthly costing runs and Material Ledger closing activities

• Analyze and resolve discrepancies between Finance and Supply Chain processes

• Ensure data consistency, financial compliance, and process integrity

• Monitor, test, and validate system changes to ensure compliance with internal IT and governance standards

Operational & Project Support

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to costing and inventory valuation

• Collaborate with business teams, shared service organizations, and global IT stakeholders

• Provide third-line support for complex business and system-related issues

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and process ownership within the business organization

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of global SAP templates and processes

• Support implementation and deployment of new functionalities and system enhancements

• Act as a key contact for business transformations, organizational changes, acquisitions, and divestitures

• Participate in system upgrades, testing, validation, and change management activities

• Support documentation and testing activities using SAP Solution Manager (SolMan)

Collaboration & Business Partnership

• Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and IT teams to align technology solutions with business requirements

• Act as a consultant and trusted advisor for Cost and Management Accounting processes

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions

• Design, test, implement, and support system enhancements

• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

• Work within a SAFe Agile environment and actively contribute to sprint planning and delivery

Requirements

Must Have

• 5+ years of professional experience working with SAP FI/CO

• Strong expertise in:

  • Material Ledger (ML)

  • Product Costing (CO-PC)

  • Financial Accounting (FI)

  • Intercompany processes

  • Integration with Procurement, Production, Warehouse Management, Quality Management, Demand-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Product Costing

  • Inventory Valuation

  • Inventory Risk Management

  • Material Ledger Actual Costing

  • Intercompany Profit in Inventory

  • Cross-functional Finance integrations

• Strong understanding of SAP master data, including:

  • Material Master

  • Cost Centers

  • Product Costing Master Data

• Proven experience ensuring financial data accuracy, compliance, controls, and reconciliation processes

• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

• Experience with service-related costing, including installation, maintenance, and spare parts management

• Experience with software-related business models, including software sales, implementation services, and subscription offerings

• Knowledge of SAP SD, MM, and PP modules, particularly their integration points with Finance

• Experience with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan)

• Experience supporting validated systems and regulated environments

• Experience participating in business transformation, acquisition, or divestiture initiatives

• Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies
