(F / M) Data & Reporting Engineer

About the Project

We are looking for a skilled Data & Reporting Engineer to join our reporting and data team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and business reporting, transforming complex data into actionable insights. You will be responsible for developing advanced SQL solutions, ensuring data quality and governance, and supporting enterprise reporting processes across multiple data platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in SQL and data management with a business-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance analytical capabilities. Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced SQL queries and reporting solutions within Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms.

• Build robust reporting data layers using CTEs, window functions, advanced joins, and optimized query logic.

• Transform complex datasets into meaningful business insights and reporting outputs.

• Integrate and manage data from multiple sources, including Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and ODBC-connected systems.

• Support data quality initiatives through data profiling, monitoring, validation, and remediation activities.

• Manage and maintain data governance standards, including data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting and analytical requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including ERD diagrams and query logic documentation.

• Utilize AI-powered tools to optimize SQL development, automate workflows, improve documentation, and generate analytical insights.

• Contribute to Agile delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

• Knowledge of drug development processes and pharmaceutical data domains.

• Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven analytics solutions.

• Familiarity with Tableau Pulse or similar automated insight-generation tools.

• Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong data governance requirements.

Tasks

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and analytics.

• Design and maintain reporting datasets and business reporting logic.

• Monitor and improve data quality using enterprise data quality tools.
