Development of Board Management Software
Our client, a leading German automotive manufacturer, needed a solution that would not only become a single source of truth for decisions taking place in the entire organization, but also ensure good corporate governance. This is made possible with a custom-built web application that fits in the category of board management software.
How You’ll Work
Location: 100% remote or office in Krakow or Zielona Gora
Technology Stack: Java 8/11, Java EE, Quarkus 3, Angular 15/16, Hibernate, Glassfish, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
Team: 7 Developers, 1 Tech Lead, 1 Project Manager
Language: Polish for communication with team members; English for project documentation and commit comments

What You'll Do
As a Full-Stack Software Developer on the Automotive team at Astec IT Services you will help develop intranet web applications that support our client, a leading automobile manufacturer from Germany, in their daily operations:
Software development and 3rd level support according to client requirements (e.g. based on performance levels, tickets or user stories) using classic or agile project management methodologies
Analyze requirements, create concepts and discuss them with the customer
Monitor code quality and perform code reviews
Design, implement and execute development and integration tests
Skills You Have
Experience with Java software development (preferably Java EE, EJB, JPA, Hibernate, Glassfish, CDI)
Experience with frontend development (preferably Angular 7 or newer)
Experience with Oracle databases
Knowledge about software architecture
Ability to confidently communicate with clients
Good knowledge of English language (level B2 or better)
Nice To Haves
Knowledge of the following technologies: Elasticsearch, Jenkins (setting and creating pipelines), Payara, Quarkus, OpenShift Cloud
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD concepts
Knowledge of web application security
Ability to administer Linux systems
Demonstrated success as part of a distributed team
Knowledge of German language (B1 or better)
