The Position:
HID Global takes innovative approaches to helping organizations become more secure by protecting the people, data and the most important things for them. Extended Access Technologies business area is a leading provider of Identity and Access Management through embedded and software solutions. Extended Access Technology team develops engineering centers in Krakow, Albuquerque, Taipei and with additional resources in Cardiff.
We are looking for (Senior) Firmware Engineer to expand a team of elite embedded firmware engineers.
In our office in Krakow you will deliver new secure applications for a variety of product variants. You will be responsible for a design and development of new applications. An ideal candidate must be able to become proficient on new task domains quickly, demonstrate technical excellence in personal work and share knowledge with the team.

Some of your tasks will include:
Some of your tasks will include:
- Design and implementation of new secure embedded firmware applications in C
- Develop low level interfaces (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)
- Review and maintain existing code base
- Support in the design and development of desktop engineering tools
- Develop test fixtures in C and higher-level Object-Oriented language (e.g. C#)
- Documentation and cross functional training of low-level concepts
What we are looking for:
- Min. 3 years of hands-on code development
- Applied experience with C and .Net, experience with C++ is a plus
- Comfortable working at a hardware level drivers (GPIO, UART, ISC, SPI)
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Bugzilla, Jira)
- General knowledge of test frameworks and automated build systems (Jenkins, NUnit, NAnt etc.)
- Ability to complete design related tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience with Secure Elements, RFID, NFC, HCE or Agile Scrum development is a plus
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
