Welcome to Planning ART! 

As a Scrum Master in Planning ART, you will act as a s servant leader for one or two Scrum Teams, helping them to deliver their PI Objectives and Sprint Goals. 

 

The purpose of the individual team varies, but the overall purpose of our Planning ART is to build software which supports the Arla supply chain do better Planning in order to plan better, which should lead to always have the right products ready for the customers/consumers and to avoid vast and therefore make Arla more sustainable. 

 

You will be part of: 

  • Planning ART – which consists of approx.. 65 people. All working towards the same goal of create better planning in Arla. 
  • Part of a Scrum Master group of 5, where we support each other and spare on how we best support our teams. 
  • Be part of Arla IT, which consists more than 450 IT professionals. 

 

What will you do in Planning ART? 

As a Scrum Master you are responsible for the agile methods and processes in your teams. You are responsible for maintaining and continuous improving these. 

 

Additionally you will: 

  • Facilitate getting the work done, and drive efficiency and focus through challenging priorities, estimates, and keep the team and individuals focused on the agreed priorities 
  • Facilitate planning, demo’s, backlog refinement, retrospective and stand-up meetings – effectively engaging and intervening when disagreements, misunderstandings or other types of impediments needs resolving in or between the teams 
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and engagement with the team's customers 
  • Support and educate the product owners, especially with respect to timely refinement and engagement around the product backlog and product vision 
  • Lead and coach the team in agile adaption – striving to get the team working as a self-organized team 
  • Work with other scrum masters to increase the efficiency of the application of scrum across the train 
  • Provide all the above using a servant leadership style, always challenge status quo and leading by example 

 

A typical day in the life of a Scrum Master in Planning ART: 

We have free seating in the office, but you would typically sit together with your team. 

You will facilitate the morning stand up in your team(s). Making sure there is alignment all though the team on the tasks of the day. Typically this daily will lead to tasks / impediments where you as a Scrum Master will help to solve these. 

 

They day will typically also contain planning of future events, alignment with your product owner and coaching of team members in ways of working. 

 

During the day, quite a lot of time will be spend in front of the PC, as we have a hybrid working environment where most meetings are on Teams with people on other locations or working from home. 

 

The structure you placed on the day before has typically been challenged during the day, as you always help out where the need is most. 

 

In your first couple of months with Arla, you will have a dedicated Scrum Master buddy you can spare with and who will support you in getting settles in. 

 

Who are you? 

You are an experienced (IT) Scrum Master, Agile Coach or Project Manager, who is ready take the next step and join a highly skilled agile release train building the Planning future of Arla. 

To succeed in this role, you: 

  • Have experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach using agile principles and conducting Scrum ceremonies 
  • Have strong oral, written and presentation skills combined with the ability to facilitate meetings and lead group discussions for navigating complex solutions 
  • Have a passion for coaching others and you are a true source of inspiration and motivation 
  • Are a phenomenal teammate who enables and constructively support and challenge others to succeed 
  • Have solid project management skills in terms of prioritizing work, identifying dependencies and blockers to progress 
  • Have experience working in a SAFe ART. 
  • Are fluent in English. 

 

This position is open for hiring in Poland and Denmark. We have offices in Aarhus, Denmark and Gdansk, Poland.
