    Job description

    As a Managing Architect (Release Train Architect), you will play a key role in driving our digital transformation within the Supply Chain Application and Analytics Train.  

     

    Collaborating closely with the ART management team, you will lead initiatives that redefine our digital landscape. We are approx. 60 highly skilled people in a mix of internals and externals. We span from deep technical insights to broad business knowledge, and we collaborate to create the best solutions for the business and maximize the value of our IT investments.

     

    How you will make an impact


    You will be responsible for advancing Arla’s architectural design and leading a team of solution architects. Your focus will include areas such as Production, Plant Maintenance, Quality, Procurement and Analytics. To enable the digital future, we drive the technical direction and development through a roadmap where you engage with our enterprise architects and business stakeholders to ensure the support of our business strategy.

     

    We operate in an agile environment, leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to guide our processes and methodologies. You will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Release Train Engineer to inspire the business and identify new opportunities. At the same time, you ensure we build the best technical solutions to solve the business challenges, and engage with our IT Operations and IT Security to ensure stable and secure operations.

     

    Your role will involve technical leadership but also the development and mentoring of a team of 5 solution architects. By fostering a supportive, inclusive and innovative environment, you will help your team reach their highest potential, driving both individual and organizational success.

     

    More specifically, you will:

    • Lead the ART leadership team, defining and communicating technical and architectural strategies
    • Design target architectures and high-level technical solutions
    • Oversee the development of robust technical solutions and infrastructures
    • Ensure solutions meet quality standards and comply with Arla's guidelines

     

    The position is based in either Aarhus, Denmark or Gdansk, Poland. Some infrequent travel between Aarhus and Gdansk will be required, along with occasional trips to our European markets.

Through your technical leadership, you supervise, inspire and deliver excellent results through others. To succeed in this role, we imagine:

    • Proven experience as an IT architect with a record of designing and implementing enterprise-grade digital solutions
    • Strong understanding of modern architectures, clouds, and digital development disciplines
    • Experience with a broad range of technologies, such as SAP Production, Plant maintenance and Quality. Sales force, Coupa, Data platforms – preferably Microsoft Azure
    • Previous experience as people manager is a plus
