100% Remote | Full-time | 1099 Contract | EST Hours

We are recruiting for our client Arbor, a fast-growing U.S. startup building an AI-powered storytelling platform used by creators, marketers, and organizations to capture, edit, and share video content at scale. Arbor blends filmmaking expertise with advanced AI technology to democratize high-quality video production.

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who will contribute to the development of both the frontend and backend of the Arbor platform, working closely with our Product Manager, designers, and engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Arbor web application across both frontend and backend

• Build scalable, performant features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript

• Implement backend services in Node.js (REST & GraphQL)

• Design, build, and optimize API endpoints

• Improve performance, responsiveness, and architecture across the system

• Collaborate with Product Manager and other engineers during planning and development

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint ceremonies

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software

• Work fully remote in EST business hours (14:00–23:00 CET)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience as a senior full stack developer.

• Experience developing web applications.

• Familiarity with common stacks.

• Deep knowledge of front-end best practices (HTML/CSS, Javascript).

• In-depth knowledge of NextJS, MobX and/or React Redux.

• 5+ years of experience in full stack development with Typescript or another typed language like Kotlin or Swift.

• Familiarity with NodeJS, Vercel and GraphQL.

• Proven experience building complex user interfaces.

• Solid grasp of front-end performance best practices.

• Experience working with APIs and scalable backend services.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Great attention to detail.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Vercel, AWS, or GCP

• Background working with video or AI-powered platforms

• Experience in early-stage startups or high-ownership environments
