    Job description

    Online interview

    What does it take to be successful during the recruitment process:


    • at least 3 years of experience in Javascript / NodeJS development
    • very good grasp of NodeJS, Typescript, Nest.JS (with Express or Fastify)
    • good knowledge of relational databases and backend architectures (monolith, microservices, etc.) 
    • good understanding and experience in using git flow-like workflow
    • reasonable understanding of various security aspects when developing and maintaining client-server application
    • at least basic practical linux-based server skillset
    • ability to write and maintain technical documentation (both externally, a wiki docs, and internally as development readme and supporting comment files)
    • experience and effectiveness in planning development work, identifying risks, coordinating dependencies and verifying quality of final code/product
    • nice to have knowledge of AWS cloud and services (deployment and configuration)
    • ability to work with lean methodologies (agile, scrum, etc.)
    • professional fluency in English (at least B2)

    • flexibility and discipline (stick to the time and budget, choose the best solution fitting given constraints and criteria, not the “best” solution overall)
    • critical thinking (test internet statements, assess viability, back with data and experiments, have own opinion)
    • responsibility for own code and delivered features (internal testing, static analysis, self-checking)
    • proactive approach (look for solutions to problems before they appear or before the client asks, improve your own code)
    • ability to work independently (with possible guidance) and as a team member



    Our recruitment process:


    1. Initial Call

    We want to know you better! 
During this 45-60 minute video call, we will get to know each other. We will unveil some mysteries about Apzumi and ask you some questions about your needs, expectations and experience in this role. We will also explain the next steps of our recruitment process. 


    2. Online Interview

    During this 90-120 minutes online interview, we'll provide more context about the role you applied for and about standards we follow in Apzumi. You'll have the opportunity to tell us about your career and interest in this role. We may ask you some in-depth role-related questions, and we'll answer any pressing questions you may have.
