APTVISION is currently looking for a highly motivated Junior Software Tester to join our office in Lodz. Junior Software Tester plays an important role in our software testing team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our product. The role is to assess software quality by validating new feature functionality, creating test cases, recording bugs as required, and performing regression testing. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for software testing. Testing team members collaborate closely with developers and the product team executing test cases, identifying defects, and providing valuable feedback to enhance our software solutions.
- Provide input as required to the planning, requirements definition, and design process for new features, with an eye toward testability
- Develop and maintain a test scenario library
- Write manual test scripts necessary to ensure the operation and correctness of new features
- Perform front-end user acceptance testing for all new features
- Perform end-to-end regression tests in preparation for new releases
- Perform smoke tests to ensure successful releases
- Assist in identifying the root causes of bugs
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Good English and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining test documentation, such as test cases and test scripts
- Basic knowledge of bug-tracking tools and systems to log and manage defects
- Analytical mind and a problem-solving attitude to understand project requirements, identify potential risks, and devise effective test cases
- Great attention to detail to accurately identify defects and ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Familiarity with the Scrum methodology
- Experience with Jira
- Testing Certification ISTQB Foundation Level
- Understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Knowledge of software development processes and programming languages
- Basic understanding of test automation concepts and tools (e.g. Playwright, Cypress)
