Our client is one of the largest game studios known for its very successful online MOBA and FPS franchises. You will be part of a Player Platform team responsible for modernizing the test pipelines for the game client SDK used by all the games in our client's portfolio.
Game client SDK is a multi-platform (PC, PS5, Xbox, iOS, Android) toolkit that provides core online capabilities for the games developed by our client.
Your team will comprise experienced engineers from Poland working closely with other EU and US West Coast engineering teams. Although it's not a daily requirement, due to working across multiple time zones, flexibility to attend later meetings is an important factor for success in this role.
Each team member is expected to proactively propose tools, designs, and implementation strategies.
Responsibilities:
Migration of the existing test suites written in GTest/C++ to Vitest/Typescript
Analysis and troubleshooting of the existing test suites to create new efficient test pipelines
Prepare design docs, implementation strategies and choose appropriate libraries
Collaborate within your pod (up to 3 engineers) and with other cross-functional teams
Write and execute unit, integration and end-to-end tests, participate in code reviews
Create, modify and maintain automated CI/CD test pipelines with Docker, Github Actions and Jenkins
Required qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years commercial work experience
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of Typescript programming language
Basic understanding of C++
Familiarity with Typescript testing frameworks (e.g., Vitest, Jest)
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite)
General knowledge of test automation
Knowledge of various testing strategies and approaches
Aptitude for debugging, analyzing issues, and implementing effective solutions
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Nice to have:
Experience with Google Test and Google Mock test frameworks
Experience with CI/CD - Docker, Github Actions, Jenkins
Hands-on experience working with Public Cloud, preferably AWS
Experience with observability and monitoring tools, preferably Datadog
