About the project

Join a team building a modern trading platform for the global foreign exchange (FX) market, supporting millions of transactions across various financial markets. The project is part of the Market Securities & Services (MSS) division – the investment banking arm – where technology is at the core of everything we do.

Our mission is to develop an in-house platform to support all key FX trading functions (pricing, booking, risk management, reporting), fully replacing a third-party vendor system.

How we work

- Small pods of 4–8 developers, following DevOps principles

- Full ownership of the software lifecycle – from requirements to production

- Continuous delivery – small, frequent releases using agile practices

- Close collaboration with FX traders and other business stakeholders

- Strong focus on automation and building loosely coupled microservices

What you'll do

- Write efficient, elegant, and maintainable Java code

- Develop microservices in a distributed architecture

- Monitor production and maintain system stability

- Collaborate on FX business requirements

- Automate testing and deployments

- Take responsibility for the availability and performance of your services

What we’re looking for

- Strong passion for technology and software craftsmanship

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Problem-solving mindset with adaptability to change

- Experience with Java 17+ (concurrency, data structures, low latency, lambdas)

- Familiarity with TDD, jUnit, continuous integration and deployment

- Experience with REST APIs and messaging systems

- Understanding of DevOps practices and principles

Nice to have

- Background in FX or financial markets

- Involvement in open source projects or tech communities
