The Cybersecurity Global Defence function supports a variety of technologies and services across a globally distributed team. This includes cryptography and encryption technology, data and network solutions, Data Loss Prevention, Security Infrastructure, and vulnerability management. These teams collectively ensure the security of critical operations and manage billions of pounds in transactions across the organization.
The Global Defence Service Delivery Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the company's reputation, shareholder value, information, and financial assets globally in the following ways:
- Supporting the implementation and operational delivery of strategy.
- Providing expertise and guidance on cryptography, data, and network solutions to projects and business units.
- Supporting the deployment of tools to enforce compliance with Information Security policies and standards globally, including regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating to drive the implementation of both enterprise-wide and regional/business-level IT strategies.
- Ensuring global adherence to information security requirements by putting effective compliance measures in place.
- Working closely with the team as part of the first line of defense, understanding the strategy while maintaining visibility on IT security risks, exposures, and control effectiveness, and providing robust challenge when information security risk thresholds are breached.
- Engaging with all relevant regional and global stakeholders (including cybersecurity colleagues in Strategy and Architecture, Security Shared Services, Security Engineering, and business and IT functions).

- Business aligned - Ensuring any decisions, services and technology is delivered and runs in a compliant, effective manner and delivers appropriate benefit to the business.
- Business Enablement – Provide technologies that better help the business grow and develop. Ensure that the business requirements are fully understood whilst ensuring the company Security vision is delivered in live with business expectations.
- Business Support - Provide advice, guidance and support to the business
- Risk Reduction – Work with IT and Business stakeholders to proactively deploy and build out technology solutions to help reduce risk while acting with the overall business risk appetite.
Key Experience:
- Broad experience across Cybersecurity Technology
- Proven success in operational management, utilizing relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery
- A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity would be beneficial
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment
- Promoted and led best practices in risk and compliance management in a similar organization
- A track record of making strategic business decisions, considering relevant risks, long-term implications, commercial realities, and stakeholders' needs
Job Requirements:
- Profile of services - Global.
- Internal and external relationships - Internal relationships extend from the local team to the whole of IT. Interaction with business and technology stakeholders including external vendors and suppliers.
- Executive & Stakeholder Management – Communication and engagement with Senior Management and other Executive stakeholders, effective verbal and report writing skills. Compliance & Regulatory Management - Management and contribution to any regulatory request relating to IT Security globally.
- Management of Direct and Indirect Reports - People management and contribution to a positive work culture / environment.
- Financial Management – Management of the global departmental IT Security budget, including purchasing, review & approval of expenses / purchases within delegated authority limits and approved budgets etc.
- Vendor/Supplier Management – Liaison and potential management of IT Security vendors, consultants or suppliers.
Certifications, Qualifications & Experience (For the Job – not the Job holder. Minimum requirements of the Job):
- Typically educated to degree level, within IT
- Industry qualifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM)
- Demonstrable experience in IT or Cyber Security pertinent to this role with 2/3 years experience
- Regulatory engagement, experience in dealing with compliance matters, and regulatory liaison would be beneficial
- Knowledge of any global regulatory requirements would be beneficial
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate on complex IT Security issues with a wide spectrum of stakeholders.
- Understanding of business finance and experience of effective management of budgets and expenditure
- Comprehensive understanding of security in context of wider industry trends and direction
- Experience of working in a financial organisation would be beneficial
- Working knowledge of networking concepts, protocols and architecture, and cloud technologies would be beneficial.
- Understanding of cryptographic key management and associated solutions would be beneficial
