Senior Software Engineer with C#/.NET and Azure

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer with C#/.NET with experience in Azure to join the IT team on a permanent basis for our customer dealing with settlement and power balancing across the whole UK bringing together the power producers along with the power consumers including industries and households to make sure all consumers have enough power available to use.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced .Net Developer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. Ideally, you have:

• 5+ years of experience working with C# ASP.NET Core (Open-source web framework for .NET Azure)
• Hands-on experience with designing and developing cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure
• Practical knowledge of Azure services such as: Kubernetes Services, App Service, Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, SQL Database
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and building CI/CD pipelines (YAML) using Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Terraform, Bicep)
• Understanding of cloud architecture, security best practices and cost optimization in Azure environments
• Experience in working in an Agile environment using Azure DevOps Boards and Repos
• Understanding of how Azure works how to amend infrastructure via IaaC
• Awareness of the cost implications of implementing cloud solutions
  
  

Certifications Required

• AZ-104 and AZ-204 certificates or equivalent experience
