Senior Software Engineer (Java, React/Angular)

working hours: 14:00-22:00

location: Krakow hybrid

Role Description:We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in Kraków as a Senior Software Engineer. This role demands a deep understanding of application architecture, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to deliver projects on time. You will assist senior managers and fellow team members in developing innovative strategies and solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Full stack development
• Providing technical consultancy, conducting code reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Mentoring other developers and assisting Global Business.
• Developing code for new requirements and fixing existing bugs/defects.
• Contributing to requirements gathering and delivery planning.
• Consulting with business stakeholders to understand objectives and develop user stories.
• Mapping requirements to delivery schedules and ensuring appropriate test cases are executed.
• Identifying potential issues and recommending problem-solving strategies.
• Providing support for risk analysis, risk mitigation plans, and project delivery.
• Conducting research to support business stakeholders.
• Providing application support for Sales during US hours (working hours: 14-22, PL)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in Java development as an individual contributor and leader.
• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, Elasticsearch and ELK.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus.
• Understanding of major UI frameworks: React / Angular, preferably both.
• Experience with message-driven architectures (JMS, IBM MQ / Artemis / Solace).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Teamcity / Jenkins / JIRA / Confluence).
• Familiarity with unit testing, regression testing, and sophisticated with subversion tools like Git.
• Good to have: Experience with RDBMS (Oracle) or NoSQL DBs (MongoDB), working in agile projects, micro-services, and micro-frontends, and exposure to Fixed Income Cash and Derivatives.
