The Senior Software Architect is responsible for creating the software architectural design specification for power drive systems products based on software requirements, ensuring A-SPICE-compliant documentation of the architecture in text and graphic form (e.g., with UML). This role participates in the development of complex embedded software from conception to series production.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements to identify architecturally significant elements.
- Evaluate software architectural choices.
- Define the software architecture elements.
- Allocate the software requirements to the elements of the software architectural design.
- Define interfaces of software elements.
- Describe the dynamic behavior of software elements.
- Create/update the bi-directional traceability between the software architecture elements and the software requirements.
- Analyze the resources (CPU load, code size, RAM size, etc.) and define the consumption objectives.
- Prioritize software components for criticality and complexity to serve as input to the implementation and test effort planning.
- Plan and coordinate with internal and external partners for software architecture topics.
What we’re looking for:
- B.S. in Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 5 years’ experience in embedded software development in C and software design.
- Experience with globally distributed teams.
- Experience with ISO26262 / IEC61508 / A-SPICE.
- Knowledge in the following areas is an advantage:
- Tool knowledge in Bitbucket, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, Polarion.
- Knowledge of automotive-oriented software architecture, AUTOSAR.
- Knowledge of the Infineon Tricore Aurix controller family.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Fluency in English is required.
