Quality Assurance Lead
Location: Kraków, Poland (hybrid 8x per month from office)
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to take ownership of quality assurance activities across complex IT solutions. The role combines hands-on quality expertise with leadership responsibilities and close collaboration with development, product, and business teams.
Define, implement, and continuously improve the QA strategy and testing processes
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual and automation)
Plan, coordinate, and oversee end-to-end testing activities across multiple projects
Ensure high quality of delivered software through effective test planning, execution, and reporting
Drive test automation strategy and support its adoption within the team
Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders
Manage defect lifecycle and ensure transparent communication of quality risks
Take part in release readiness, go/no-go decisions, and production quality monitoring
Promote best practices in QA, Agile delivery, and continuous improvement
Proven experience as a QA Lead, Test Lead, or Senior QA with leadership responsibilities
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices
Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing (UI and API)
Practical knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or similar
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Xray, TestRail)
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Very good command of English (minimum B2 level)
Experience with performance or security testing
Background in financial services, banking, or other regulated environments
ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
