Lead Software Engineer

We are looking for a global leader in the development, production, and sales of high-quality diagnostic and biotechnology products for our client, with over 70 years of experience in the industry.

As a Lead Instrument Control Software Engineer on the Curiosity Diagnostics team, you'll develop software for a new medical device. You'll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of systems, ensuring they meet necessary standards. Your role will also involve troubleshooting hardware-software interactions and improving system performance.

You'll actively code, optimize software that controls and monitors device functions, conduct code reviews, and ensure software components are strong and reliable.

 Responsibilities:

• Implement new technologies and engineering practices
• Improve software performance, scalability, and efficiency
• Develop team skills and increase productivity
• Design strong, scalable software architectures
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in C++ development, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong knowledge of C++ (C++11/14/17/20/23/26), STL, memory management, multithreading, and performance optimization
• Experience designing scalable and high-performance architectures
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring junior developers
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Bonus: Experience with Yocto Project, Linux, C#
