Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Cloud Infrastructure & Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Analytics & Platform Engineering team. This role combines cloud platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), and production operations in a large-scale, highly regulated environment.

You will work with cutting-edge Azure cloud and big data technologies, building and maintaining the infrastructure behind a strategic analytics and cybersecurity platform. The role offers hands-on technical challenges, opportunities to improve platform reliability, and the chance to collaborate with a diverse team of cloud, data, and cybersecurity professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and enhance a large-scale analytics platform and data lake in Azure.
• Build and manage Azure-based landing zones and deployment environments.
• Design and implement infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible, Chef).
• Manage Azure networking and connectivity (ExpressRoute, DNS, routing, NSGs, Azure Firewall).
• Integrate and configure shared cloud services such as IAM, monitoring, OS, containers, and databases.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
• Ensure high availability, resilience, compliance, and security across cloud services.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, services, and application layers.
• Maintain up-to-date operational documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform design, reliability, and automation.

Skills & Experience

Technical

• Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming: Bash, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, C#, Java, SQL, KQL.
• Strong Linux administration skills (preferably Red Hat).
• Deep knowledge of Azure services (Identity, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web, Containers, Databases).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Elasticsearch).
• Experience with highly available/high-load infrastructure and web platforms.
• Understanding of networking protocols and network design principles.
• Exposure to big data tools (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).
• Infrastructure automation experience (Terraform, Ansible, ARM, CloudFormation).
• Bonus: experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms and cloud security best practices.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to document, maintain, and improve complex systems.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn new tools and technologies.

Education & Certifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant industry certifications in Cloud, DevOps, or Cybersecurity are highly valued (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, Terraform).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (OWASP, ISO2700x, NIST, PCI DSS) is an advantage.
