Fullstack Engineer

Full Stack Developer (Java + Python) – Hybrid – Kraków

We are currently looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking technology team delivering cutting-edge AI and data-driven solutions in the financial sector.

About the Project

You will be part of the AI Markets team within a global financial institution. The team is responsible for building award-winning NLP-driven services to help institutional investors access real-time insights from global markets.

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll work in a team of 4–6 people with a dedicated product owner. You'll be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, and production support. There are no separate support or QA teams – we build it, we run it.

Tech Stack

Required:

• Java (17+)

• Python

Nice to have:

• JavaScript / Vue.js

• TypeScript

• Experience with Machine Learning, NLP, AI or Data Science

• Familiarity with event streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka)

Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative team with a dedicated product owner, potentially distributed across locations

• Break down business requirements into manageable stories and deliver them iteratively to production

• Contribute to production support – “you build it, you support it”

• Identify technical debt and ensure it’s balanced with delivery of new features

• Design new solutions within established technology guidelines

• Pair-programming with teammates to drive quality and share knowledge

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience

• Proven expertise in Java, Python, and optionally JavaScript/TypeScript

• Ability to mentor and collaborate with junior engineers

• Solid communication skills in English (written & spoken)

• Experience in financial services is a plus, but not required

Nice to Have

• Exposure to languages like Kotlin, Clojure, Rust, Haskell, Julia, etc.

• Background outside of banking or fintech – we value diverse perspectives

• Willingness to experiment, learn, and adapt quickly
