Senior Agile IT Business Analyst

Location: Krakow, Poland/ hybrid ( 6x per month from office)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Agile IT Business Analyst to join a global  Technology team supporting Payments and Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM). The role focuses on analysing, refining and translating business requirements into effective, scalable IT solutions aligned with global architecture standards.

The successful candidate will work largely independently across the full project lifecycle, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, international environment, while collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the most appropriate analysis approach to address business problems and opportunities

• Analyse and design IT solutions in close collaboration with Payments Operations, Core Banking, architects and other delivery streams

• Quickly gain a strong understanding of business requirements through regular interaction with Product Owners, business users and subject matter experts

• Translate business and system requirements into solution designs and detailed functional requirements

• Perform root cause analysis and propose sustainable improvements

• Document requirements in BRDs and/or Jira user stories to support delivery teams

• Influence and negotiate project scope, including impact assessment of change requests

• Work closely with delivery and production support teams to ensure solutions are well understood and effectively supported

Key Challenges

• Operating within a large, complex and high-pressure environment requiring rapid delivery of high-quality software solutions

• Achieving clarity on business requirements in ambiguous or evolving situations

• Navigating a distributed delivery model across multiple locations (e.g. Poland, UK, France, India)

• Demonstrating initiative, resilience and strong communication skills in challenging circumstances

Essential Skills & Experience

• Extensive knowledge of payments and payment systems, particularly SEPA payments

• Hands-on experience working with ISO 20022 messaging standards

• Proven experience in Payments IT, Core Banking and/or corporate banking channels

• Strong ability to work effectively in cross-functional, international teams

• Experience in analysing and understanding end-to-end payment architectures

• Solid background in business analysis with the ability to deliver high-quality functional solutions

• Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and quality

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to both lead and contribute within teams

• Good understanding of all phases of the project lifecycle

• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence

• Strong business orientation combined with a technical background

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban

• Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CBAP, IQBBA or equivalent)

• Basic SQL knowledge for data analysis and querying
