Backend Java Developer 

• Working hours: 16:00–24:00 (CET)

• Work model: Mostly remote, with occasional office visits in Kraków (approx. twice per month)

• B2B contract: up to 160 PLN net/h + Benefits

• Project start date: March 2026!

Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver backend services in Java to production, aligned with a microservices-based architecture.

• Contribute to backend system architecture with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, and reliability.

• Deliver production changes at a high cadence within a regulated environment.

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs consumed by internal and external systems.

• Work closely with globally distributed engineering and product teams, collaborating across regions during late working hours.

• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and technical issues, communicating them clearly to stakeholders.

• Continuously improve backend development processes and engineering standards.

Requirements (must have):

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience as a Backend Java Developer.

• Proven hands-on experience developing backend systems using Java (recent versions).

• Solid experience working with microservice architectures in production environments.

• Practical experience delivering RESTful APIs to production.

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.

• Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector (regulated environment is a strong plus).

• Experience working in environments with frequent releases and production deployments.

Nice to have:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

• Basic familiarity with frontend technologies such as ReactJS.

• Experience working in globally distributed teams.
