We’re looking for a Mobile Technical Lead (Android) to help deliver a next-generation mobile investment experience as part of a flagship global initiative in the Wealth & Private Banking space.
This mobile-first platform is designed to empower millions of users with seamless access to investment opportunities including equities, ETFs, and mutual funds — all from one personalized, goal-oriented interface. Built using the cutting-edge PlatformHub framework, the solution ensures scalability, security, and high performance.
- Lead and mentor a mobile engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within standards.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, Analysts, and Scrum Masters in a cross-functional agile setup.
- Contribute to planning, architectural decisions, development, and implementation.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable Android code aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Maintain and enforce code quality through reviews, testing, and automation.
- Define and uphold technical standards, ensuring system scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Provide architectural guidance to simplify complex problems with elegant solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and foster effective communication across teams.
- 7+ years of broad software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a senior or lead mobile development role.
- Expertise in Android development with strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, Android architecture components, Jetpack libraries, and Material Design principles.
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale Android apps with clean architecture (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
- Solid experience with REST APIs, JSON, dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt), Room/SQLite, and reactive programming (RxJava, Coroutines).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI, and source control using Git.
- Good understanding of Android security best practices and Google Play Store publishing guidelines.
- Experience with Android performance optimization, background processing, and custom UI components.
- Bonus points for knowledge of Android NDK (C/C++), push notifications, Firebase, mapping/location services, and accessibility standards.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field.
