The IT company Andersen invites an experienced System Administrator to join its team for working with a company from the UK.
The customer is a UK-based next-generation integrated global payment ecosystem with the clear mission to change how money is moved around the world. The company currently supports cross-network operability globally across Mastercard, Visa, China UnionPay and local ACH and payment schemes, providing over 40 payment methods for online SMEs.
The project aims to leverage the customer’s cutting-edge technology and expertise to provide individuals and businesses with fast, secure, and cost-effective payment services across borders.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers.
- Implementing security measures and managing user accounts.
- Suggesting resource utilization based on monitoring results.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving software, hardware and networking issues.
- Developing backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Writing scripts to automate routine tasks and streamline administration.
- Ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations.
- Administering Windows/Linux systems.
- Leveraging automation tools to streamline tasks.
- Implementing and monitoring security protocols.
- Ensuring proper and secure storage, backup and retrieval of data (Veeam).
- Enforcing security best practices to prevent cyber attacks and security breaches.
- Developing robust backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Must-haves:
- Experience as a System Operations Reliability Engineer for 3+ years.
- Working knowledge of virtualization (VmWare), storage systems, hardware servers and their troubleshooting.
- Experience with server roles (AD, DNS, NTP, RDS, CA, IIS, File Server, Print Server, WSUS).
- Experience writing automation scripts (Bash, Python).
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Packer.
- Experience with AWS (EC2), GCP: deployment of virtual machines, patching, opening network access, incident resolution.
- Experience in MSSQL administration (Backup, cluster configuration and maintenance).
- Understanding the SAN and Storage technologies including underlying fabric.
- Server hardening, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience working with MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf).
- Experience working with collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence).
- Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Extensive experience with e-mail services (Google Workspace).
- Experience with GitLab.
- Experience with Opensearch.
- Experience with Cloudflare.
