Python Developer

Andersen invites a Python Developer for a project with a U.S.-based global travel payment provider. The role focuses on auditing data systems and building AI-powered tools like intelligent chatbots, knowledge bases, and backend services. 

The customer is a global corporate travel payment solution owned and operated by the world’s airlines. The network consists of major airlines that issue charge cards accepted by thousands of merchants around the world for air, rail, cruise and travel agency payments.    

The project is a new initiative with a key client focused on auditing and analyzing their current data landscape. The goal is to assess the quality, structure, and readiness of their data infrastructure and pipelines, with a long-term vision of enabling AI-powered tools. 

Technology stack: Python, FastAPI, Flask, Django, JSON, XML, HTML, OpenAI API, LangChain/LlamaIndex. 

Responsibilities: 

• Designing and implementing intelligent chatbot capable of parsing and extracting structured content from internal platforms such as Confluence, Jira, and Wikis. 

• Delivering relevant and context-aware responses to both technical and non-technical users. 

• Applying LLMs, embeddings, and frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex to build a searchable, dynamic knowledge base. 

• Integrating the OpenAI GPT API for prompt engineering, chat completions, and document summarization. 

• Building backend services to automatically generate documentation from development and release artifacts. 

• Performing analysis of release quality and readiness. 

• Creating pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and insight generation from tools like Jira, Git, and CI/CD logs. 

• Developing backend systems using Core Python with a strong focus on OOP, async/await, and performance optimization. 

• Building and maintaining REST/gRPC APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django. 

• Working with both structured and unstructured data (e.g., JSON, XML, HTML). 

• Integrating third-party APIs and managing both relational and vector databases, including embedding storage and retrieval. 

Must-haves: 

• Experience as a Python Developer for 4+ years. 

• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django for building scalable web APIs. 

• Experience in developing chatbots and experience with AI. 

• Solid understanding of data formats and parsing techniques (JSON, XML, HTML). 

• Experience with data engineering tasks, including ETL pipelines. 

• Knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, and AI/NLP integration using tools like OpenAI API, LangChain, or LlamaIndex. 

• Familiarity with prompt engineering and building RAG pipelines. 

• Experience with API integration and database management. 

• Good problem-solving and communication skills. 

• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
